I agree, I love how you can see a major difference with the old, scraggly, dead-looking tree frozen in ice with the straight, fresh, evergreen tree looking lively and even has a little bit of green grass growing around it. Very nice contrast and that tree is wicked the way the branches twist and grow in all sorts of crazy directions. Personally, light overcast days in the winter are one of my favorite times to take pictures. You get a very interesting quality and all rich colors seem to get a boost and really stand out against the grays of dead trees and such, which is the result of the ice/snow and the cloud cover. Ah... the magic of natural light...
